thoughts on integration

I think Nikki and Heather's lectures are closely related. Both of them introduced the application of the new technology in class. From Heather's lecture, I know culture can be learned by using video clips or audio files. Thisis really new to me.  Nikki teaches us how to make use of such technology as creating blogs or using chat or wikki to make teaching interesting and effective.
Their lecturesteach me that the traditional teaching method is not the only way used . Technology is an effective way to improve teaching if it is adopted wisely, if instutional support is provided and if both teachers and students have  computer literacy.
The lectures   opened a new horizon for me. I seldom use technology in my class, but after listening to their lectures, I changed my mind. I will trying using the technology I have learned here in Pen State in my interpretation class. Maybe it might improve my teaching and students learning.

  1. I like your post. I learned new things today from Heather too. I've heard of making podcasts and videos, but not in this particular application. I'm excited to try out these ideas this fall!

  2. Great! It sounds like your time here has inspired you to experiment with new teaching ideas once you are back home. I think this is wonderful, and it will likely lead to the new horizon you mentioned!
